Shockwave therapy

Shockwave therapy for chronic tendinopathies and painful trigger points.

Equipment: STORZ MEDICAL MASTERPULS® MP200

Shockwave therapy represents the latest advance in treating pain and breaking down calcifications in tendons, ligaments and muscles. We work with the finest device, the MASTERPULS® MP200, developed by the Swiss manufacturer STORZ MEDICAL, which is the global gold standard for this type of therapy.

Shockwave therapy is a modern and highly effective treatment that uses high-energy sound waves delivered into the painful region. It stimulates the healing process by activating the body’s self-regeneration, boosts metabolism and accelerates blood circulation (neovascularisation). Damaged tissue regenerates and heals, collagen production is enhanced, mobility is restored and muscle stiffness is reduced.

We most often use it for

  • shoulder pain with or without calcification (frozen shoulder, bursitis)
  • elbow pain, epicondylitis (tennis and golfer’s elbow)
  • hip and pelvic pain (coxarthrosis, tendinopathy)
  • knee pain (patellar ligament syndrome, jumper’s knee, gonarthrosis)
  • muscle and tendon injuries and pain, iliotibial band syndrome
  • neck and back pain (myofibrositis and muscle myogelosis)
  • lower-leg pain (Achilles tendon pain, tibial stress syndrome)
  • heel pain (heel spur / Calcar calcanei and plantar fasciitis, Sever–Haglund syndrome, metatarsalgia of the foot)
  • hand and foot pain (carpal and tarsal tunnel syndrome)
  • myofascial trigger points
  • sports injuries

Exceptional and effective for treating cellulite and stretch marks, reducing circumference and firming connective tissue, as well as promoting lymphatic drainage.

After just 5–6 treatments, more than 80% of patients are completely free of pain. Short treatment duration (10–15 minutes), a non-invasive solution, no side effects, safe to use.

Before the start of the season I had a knee injury, and shockwave therapy helped me enormously, and in a very short time, to get back on the pitch!

After a serious injury at a competition I could not train because I had severe pain in my shoulders. I tried several ways to heal my shoulder, with little success, until I heard about shockwave therapy. After 5–6 sessions I was again able to do exercises with heavier loads. Thanks to this therapy I managed to recover quickly from a long-standing injury, and that year I won first place at the national championship.

My name is Halas Edvard, and I have been running actively since 2012, mostly trail running, half marathons and occasionally ultramarathons. From 2012 until today I have completed 3 ultramarathons of 111 km, more than 15 trail (mountain) marathons of 30 km and over, and a solid number of half marathons. My greatest achievements are: champion of Vojvodina in the trail league in 2012, 1st place in 2015 in Vršac at the 3rd round of the Serbian and Vojvodina trail league (long course 35 km, ascent 1,585 m) and 2nd place in 2015 at a road half marathon in Hungary (I. Hód-Futófesztivál). Since I have not been running for long, I am self-taught, and I am also middle-aged, so from pushing too hard on the mountains and on speed an injury developed, namely inflammation of the Achilles tendon. I dragged the injury along from February, trying in vain to heal it, occasionally stopping for a month at a time, but without any results. When I decided to truly commit to the injury and its healing, I discovered · through my friend Igor Vojnić Zelić, who had the same problem · the Rehability clinic. I decided to call and book a treatment. After arriving and getting to know Jovan Rogić, we agreed to try shockwave therapy, 5 treatments. After only the first treatment the effects were quite surprising, especially for me, being sceptical about everything by nature. During the course of treatment I slowly started running again, and after 5 treatments I was almost completely free of pain in the Achilles tendon. I recommend this treatment to everyone who has problems with the Achilles tendon · the pain disappears very quickly! With adequate rest and gentle running, the injury recedes very fast. The therapy is painless, I could even say it feels pleasant, and the effects are noticeable already after the first treatment. Highly recommended!
